AIRFIELDS
NORTHAM AIRFIELD
Northam Airfield (YNTM) is located 1.5 Nm Nor Nor East of Northam townsite which is approximately 115kms from
Perth along the Great Northan Highway. Northam provides us with 7 days a week operations and training can be done on
any day when the weather is suitable.
Northam airstrip has runways on 140 and 320 degrees (M) and is 950m long, although RWY 14 is displaced 200m making the
useable length 750m. The strip is bitumen and approximately 10m wide.
Landing fees do not apply at YNTM
BINDOON AIRFIELD
Bindoon Airfield (YBOO) is the home of the Superlight Aircraft Club of WA (SLAC), and is located approximately 93 kms
from Perth on Dewars Pool Rd approximately 12kms by road from Bindoon townsite.
Flying training is available to members of SLAC. Membership fees are $50-00 per annum plus a once off nomination fee.
No Landing fees apply at YBOO.
The field is under a primary control zone (RAAF Pearce) Monday to Friday, but this airspace is deactivated for civil
use almost every weekend from 5pm Friday to 8am Monday.
The strip faces due east/west (09/27) and is 750m long and 40m wide brown gravel over bitumen.
